Our Programs
Two complementary approaches to building inclusive communication: direct student support and community education.

One-on-One Communication Support
Free, personalized English communication sessions delivered via Zoom by trained high school volunteers. Each session is tailored to the individual student's needs and goals.
Who We Serve
Students with hearing loss or other communication needs such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and English as Second Language (ESL) students who are underrepresented requiring accommodations, such as those with hearing loss or other communication needs (e.g., autism spectrum disorder).
Session Format
Weekly 40-minute sessions are conducted one-on-one via Zoom. To maximize communicative practice, we may occasionally pair students. We also utilize a co-tutoring model, with two volunteers per session, to ensure continuity and engagement.
Curriculum Approach
We provide AI-assisted, personalized lesson plans developed using professional Session Guides and input from experts like speech-language pathologists. Our focus is on building English communication skills and student confidence.
Community Education & Seminars
Interactive hearing health seminars designed to raise awareness and provide practical strategies for inclusive communication in everyday life.
Target Audience
Senior centers, assisted living facilities, community groups, and families seeking to better support loved ones with hearing loss.
Seminar Topics
Understanding hearing loss impacts, practical communication strategies, reducing stigma, and fostering inclusive environments.
Impact to Date
120+ seniors reached through partnerships with Ingleside Assisted Living and other community centers since October 2025.

Volunteer Training & Development
All volunteers undergo structured training to ensure high-quality, inclusive instruction.
Monthly Workshops
Regular training sessions covering inclusive communication strategies, hearing health awareness, and effective teaching methods. Guest speakers include speech-language pathologists and hearing healthcare professionals.
Mentorship & Co-Tutoring
New tutors are paired with experienced mentors for co-tutoring sessions. This model ensures knowledge transfer, builds confidence, and maintains session continuity.
